LATE NIGHT? What’s that?!
Good question! It’s a two-part event on September 28th – 29th for high school students.
Part 1 includes exploring the city and grabbing dinner together from noon – 7pm. Part 2 starts at 7pm includes playing a large game at the church, going to broomball, and then staying up until 3am together. Part 2 officially ends at noon on September 29th.
The cost is $20 for each part or $30 for both.
Whoa… an overnighter. That’s bold!
Well, that’s not technically a question, but it is bold! Students are always asking to do crazy stuff and this is something that we can do. It’s totally worth it relationally. Plus, we have a bedtime so that we aren’t that tired the next day.
Are you guys really planning on exploring Los Angeles? That doesn’t sound safe.
We live next to one of the most incredible cities in the world and yet most of us rarely get to experience it. With that said, we unfortunately will NOT be exploring LA this year. The Blue Line for the Metro is closed until late October and that would be essential for us getting a group in and out of LA. Instead, we will be heading to Downtown Long Beach and exploring there with our 15+ adult HSM leaders
What about late at night back at the church? How will you make sure people don’t run off?
First, we are about to have a ton of fun together, so anyone trying to be sneaky will be missing out.
Second, we have some measures in place to make sure students are in the places they should be. We will be pretty strict with this rule, meaning that anyone sneaking off could be sent home.
What if a high schooler can only come to a portion of part 1 or part 2?
Because there are so many moving pieces to this event, we are keeping the lines pretty clear for parts 1 and 2. Therefore, if you cannot join us in the beginning of a part or would have to leave in the middle, we ask that you do not sign up for that part. We need to make sure we know the number of students we are responsible for at all times.
The only exception to this is pickup from part 2. Students are free to be picked up any time after 8am on that Sunday, but we technically will be hanging out until noon.
When and where do I sign up?!
Help us out by getting signed up ASAP! We are trying to figure out food and supplies for the night, so a more accurate number is helpful. You can sign up and pay for the event here.
Do we need to bring anything?
- Something to sleep in/on
- Shoes for walking and broomball
- A signed waiver for broomball found attached above

Pickup will be at Arbor Road Church at 7pm on September 28th.
Attending the whole event or just Part 2?
The event will officially end at 12noon, however pickup will be at Arbor Road Church from 9am in the HSM Room-12noon in the Worship Center on September 29th.
Do we Need an Off Campus Permission Slip?
Both Parts of the night will involve going off campus, which means that each student must have a completed Off Campus Slip for the 2019-2020 school year. If you’ve already completed the form for a previous event, you’re all set.
