Melissa Clayton has been at Lakewood Christian Schools since 2020 and is currently serving as the Preschool Director. She loves the innocence of preschool-age children and the many opportunities for teachable moments. She enjoys working with teachers and partnering with parents to assure their child’s first experience in school is memorable.
She earned her AA Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a preschool teacher for 20 years before becoming a director in 2014.
Melissa grew up in Lakewood and attended Arbor Road (then FBCOL) until the age of 19, where she served on Junior High Staff for two years. She has great memories of growing up here and was so happy when God lead her back to Arbor Road many years later. Melissa enjoys Angels baseball, road trips, musicals, and coffee. She and her husband, Steve, have three children.
