I was born and raised in Fresno, California. I grew up and learned to love Christ at a very early age at the First Presbyterian Church. My faith began at a summer camp outside of Fresno when I accepted Jesus into my life during an evening campfire. My story, however, didn’t end there with a simple prayer. It is a journey where I am continuing to learn more about God and His plan for me.
Growing up in my family, service was an important role in our lives. It did not define our faith, but was shown to be a natural outcome of truly wanting to find and follow God’s direction for our lives. It also is a great way to get to know our church family. Lastly, service is a great method of modeling God’s love to our family, friends, co- workers, etc. I truly believe that our daily actions do speak louder than words.
A little bit of biographical info about me. I am an engineer and work with building codes and standards. I have been married for 40 years to my best friend, Vauna. We have 5 kids, young adults now, three are married now and we have six grandkids. They are my highest priority mission field, although they are working on their own faiths now.
I really do appreciate the opportunity to serve you as an Elder and look forward to continuing this part of my journey at Arbor Road.
