Arbor Road Church Internships are designed to equip the saints for the work of both vocational and volunteer local-church ministry (Ephesians 4:12)

School-Year Internships

August-May
A year-long program focused on a specific ministry within our church.

June-August
A 10-week intensive revolved around serving in various ministries at ARC.

School-Year Internships

The Details

Aug-May

A year-long program focused on a specific ministry within our church. You’ll gain opportunities for personalized leadership development, as well as experiencing day-to-day ministry in the church.

Approximately 12 positions
10-12 hrs/week
Applications due before March annually
Equipping package:
At least $2000 stipend / scholarship split between semesters
Annual Retreat
Books, resources, & training materials

What to Expect

Weekly Cohort Meeting Wednesdays 3:30-4:30pm
Weekly one-on-one meeting with your supervisor
Scheduled ministry times (these vary depending on the ministry you are interning for)
Fall Weekend Intern Retreat (We will provide the dates this Summer)
Spring Conference (We will provide the dates this Summer)
You will typically be on campus 2-3 times per week for weekly ministry programming, Wednesday Intern meetings, and other various meetings set by your ministry supervisor
We expect interns to attend Arbor Road Church on Sundays

What Does the Weekly Cohort Meeting Look Like?

We take 60 minutes each Wednesday from 3:30-4:30pm pm to pour in to you through interactive training.

This takes on a variety of forms – so if you’re thinking it’s a boring classroom, you’re missing it! Our interns don’t simply learn through observation but through hands-on learning.

Our meetings focus on developing one of the four categories; head (knowledge) , heart (experience), hands (practice), play (camaraderie and connection). Many sessions will bring in staff or speakers to give you the opportunity to hear and learn from a variety of leaders that are experts on the topics.

Having trained over 100 interns in more than 75 years of impact, we consistently hear leaders share that the training they received was worth the investment.

Summer Internships

A 10 week intensive revolved around serving in various ministries at ARC. You’ll seek a greater understanding of God’s calling for your life, and classes on leadership and spiritual formation.

30-35 hrs/week

$300/weekly

What to Expect

The ARC Summer Internship is a 10-week cohort designed to help young adults discern God’s calling on their life and develop a better understanding of what it means to abide in Christ no matter where He leads them.

It includes ministry opportunities, meals with families in our church, class sessions revolving around spiritual growth and leadership, insight into how Arbor Road Church functions, and more.

Once we receive your application:

Connect — Once we receive your application, a member of our team will reach out to set up a meeting with you.
Interviews — We will start conducting interviews after application deadlines.
Selection — Our School-Year Intern Cohort is finalized by May for the following school year. Summer Interns are finalized by February for that summer.
